Our recent collaboration with Thanet Kitchens and Bathrooms (TKB) is a testament to this philosophy. TKB, a local business dedicated to transforming homes with their kitchen and bathroom fitting services, approached us to create their branding and website. Our mission was to create a straightforward, user-friendly website that mirrors TKB’s commitment to quality and simplicity. Here’s how we achieved this.

Modern and Fresh Look: They wanted a vibrant colour scheme featuring a primary orange and blue shade to give a contemporary and appealing feel.
User-Friendly Design: The website needed to be intuitive and easy to navigate, ensuring visitors could effortlessly find the information they needed.
Strong Brand Identity: A logo that effectively represented their expertise in kitchen and bathroom design while maintaining a sense of simplicity and elegance.

Design Strategy and Reasoning
Colour Palette:
We chose vibrant orange and deep blue for their psychological impact. Orange evokes energy, creativity, and warmth, making spaces feel inviting. Blue conveys trust, reliability, and professionalism. This combination reflects TKB’s dynamic yet dependable service offerings, striking a perfect balance between innovation and trust.
Logo Design:
For TKB, we crafted a minimalist yet memorable logo. The "T" in TKB features an oven extractor, while the "K" is adorned with a showerhead, symbolising their core services.
The colour scheme of white and orange ensures the logo is both modern and easily recognisable.
Website Design:
Our design approach focused on simplicity and user experience. The homepage provides a comprehensive overview of TKB’s offerings, including services, testimonials, a gallery, contact details, and a “Why Us” section. The services landing page directs users to detailed sections for kitchens, bathrooms, and design consultancy, each page featuring a header image with a black overlay gradient to enhance the visibility of the TKB logo and headers.
The overall design is clean and straightforward, ensuring visitors can easily navigate and find the information they need without unnecessary distractions.
Typography:
Typography plays a crucial role in conveying a brand’s personality. For TKB, we chose a combination of LOVELO, Calps, and Playfair Display fonts. These typefaces balance modern aesthetics with readability, ensuring that the website is both visually appealing and easy to read. The playful yet professional fonts align with TKB’s brand values, adding an extra layer of sophistication to the design.
Branded Guidelines and Business Cards:
Consistency is key in building a strong brand. Our comprehensive brand guidelines document serves as a reference for maintaining TKB’s visual identity across all platforms. It includes detailed instructions on logo usage, colour palette, typography, and more, ensuring that every piece of communication aligns with the brand’s vision. The business cards were designed with the same attention to detail, providing a professional and cohesive look that reinforces TKB’s brand at every touchpoint.
